Due to the events in Mexico, American Airlines offers customers the convenience to change their plans. Customers ticketed to travel on AA to or from Mexico may change flights as shown without penalty as long as the original booking inventory is available:

Date changes for the same cities as originally ticketed: One ticketed change is allowed, and no change fee will apply as long as the original booking inventory is available. Please contact American Airlines Reservations Center for details.
Destination changes: If customers would prefer not to fly to Mexico, American Airlines offers customers the convenience to change their destination. Contact American Airlines Reservations Center for any difference in fare and additional details.
