Using Touchless ID at the airport

When you arrive at the airport:

  1. Check that you've opted in to TSA PreCheck® Touchless ID
  2. Make sure you’ve checked in for your flight through the American app
  3. Look for the TSA PreCheck® Touchless ID symbol on your mobile boarding pass
  4. Go to the TSA PreCheck® Touchless ID security lane at participating airports

You're welcome to use your physical ID at any time. Keep your mobile boarding pass ready in case you’re asked to show it before entering the lane.

The TSA PreCheck® Touchless ID symbol can be present on your boarding passes for any trip. At airports without Touchless ID, you can still use the regular TSA PreCheck® security lane.
